# Network Fees

## What Are Network Fees?

Network fees (also called gas fees) are small amounts of SOL required to process transactions on the Solana blockchain.

## Where to Find Fee Info

Tap the **info icon** on the transfer confirmation screen to see the exact network fee for your transaction.

## Typical Fee Amounts

* **Standard transfers**: \~0.000005 SOL
* **Token swaps**: 1% fee + network fees (\~0.00001-0.0001 SOL)
* **Private Cash**: 1% fee + network fees
* **Complex transactions**: Varies based on computation

## Why Fees Exist

**Network fees** compensate validators for processing your transaction and prevent spam on the network.

**Nova fees** (swaps, Private Cash) support ongoing development and infrastructure costs.
