Intellectual Property (IP) Review Process

Nova Store implements a mechanism for reviewing apps for intellectual property infringement prior to distributing them through our marketplace.
Nova Store is not affiliated with Nova Wallet or Nova Shield.

Pre-Distribution IP Checks

Before an app is listed, we review:

App Metadata and Branding

  • App name — Check for potential trademark conflicts with known brands
  • Icons and logos — Review for similarity to registered trademarks or third-party branding
  • Screenshots and descriptions — Identify references to third-party IP without authorization

App Content

  • In-app content — Review of visible content for obvious copyright or trademark issues
  • Assets — Images, audio, and other media for potential infringement
  • Third-party references — Unauthorized use of Apple, Google, or other company branding or assets

Developer Attestations

Developers must attest that:
  • They have the necessary rights to distribute the app and all content therein
  • The app does not infringe the intellectual property of others
  • They will indemnify Nova Store for IP claims arising from their app

  • Conditional — Developer must provide additional documentation (e.g., license, permission) before approval
Apps that fail IP review are not listed until the developer resolves the issues.
